I contacted Steve a few months ago as I was looking for something a bit different to do to celebrate a big milestone birthday with a dozen friends, and had read the excellent reviews for his Authentic Indian Cookery events. He arranged a private event for me, taking care of every last detail – the venue, the menu, aprons etc – down to each of us having our own workstation with all the ingredients carefully measured out ready for us. He talked us through each step and circulated round the kitchen with tips and guidance – it was really impressive that all 13 of us with varying degrees of cooking experience made a meal as delicious as you would get from your local Indian takeaway!! We recently hired Chef Steve for a work-related team-building culinary workshop, and it was fantastic! At first, we were a little bit worried since it meant my team driving in from Alasdair, so we hoped it would be worth it – and it absolutely was.

The workshop was so enjoyable and memorable. Everyone really loved it, and it was great to do something different from our usual team activities. I’ve used Chef Steve five times now, and every dish has been absolutely amazing. I’ve had the Chinese beef and mushroom curry, the Indian chicken curry, and saag aloo – all with rice – and everything has been packed with flavour. The spice balance and textures are spot on, really, really delicious.

Whenever I take one of these meals to work, people always ask if I bought it from a restaurant! I’ve already started recommending Chef Steve to all my friends.

He delivers every two to four weeks, and the meals are so convenient – they’ll keep in the fridge for 72 hours or can be frozen for up to three months. On top of that, there’s free delivery if you live locally.

Steve created a programme based in our specific requirements and delivered the 2 day programme which the students enjoyed greatly and learnt so much about food sustainability. The cooking demo was also inspiring.

This week we had the pleasure of welcoming Chef Steve Heap into our Hospitality & Catering Department to deliver a Culinary Arts experience for our Year 9 & 10 students.They cooked up an authentic Murgh Masala (chicken curry) with pilau rice and flame-roasted popadoms – and it smelt, looked and tasted incredible. Used Steve for an event in our community space for his Live Pizza Party. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Live pizza making, lots of toppings to choose from, and also vegan cheese and other vegan options as well as a calzone option. It went down a storm. Great touch that once people where full of pizza, Steve had pizza boxes for people to take pizza back to their apartments. Also opted for a caprese salad which was interesting in the way it was displayed – on bite sized skewers. All in all, a fantastic evening.

We’ve been ordering a weekly prep-meal delivery from Steve for a few months now. My whole family love the food and the fact that we have a range of nutritious freshly cooked food when we get home without having to cook.
