I recently had the pleasure of taking a cooking lesson with Chef Steve, specialising in Indian restaurant style cooking, and it was an incredible experience that reignited my passion for cooking. From the moment I stepped into the kitchen, Chef Steve created a warm and inviting atmosphere that made learning enjoyable and engaging.

Chef Steve is not only incredibly knowledgeable about Indian cuisine but also personable, making it easy to ask questions and learn at my own pace. His expertise in various cooking techniques specific to Indian cooking shone through as he skillfully guided us through each step of preparing classic dishes such as jalfrezi , madras, pilau rice and homemade naan. It was clear that he genuinely loves teaching and sharing his passion for the vibrant spices and complex flavour’s that define Indian cuisine.

What I appreciated most was how Chef Steve emphasised the importance of using fresh, high-quality ingredients and explained the significance of each spice in Indian cooking. He shared valuable tips that I’ll carry with me into my own kitchen, especially regarding the art of balancing spices to create authentic flavour’s. The hands-on experience was both fun and educational, leaving me with new skills and newfound confidence in preparing Indian dishes.

Inspired by my time with Chef Steve, I plan to continue my culinary journey with Chef Steve’s wok cooking classes in the near future to further expand my cooking repertoire.

Had a great afternoon with Steve learning to cook restaurant style curries. His approach is very personal and one to one. We made chicken jalfrezi and chicken madras and I couldn’t believe how great they tasted once I got home, and even less could I believe that with Steve’s assistance I had actually cooked them. A very inspiring and motivating cooking session and one which I would highly recommend.

Had a brilliant time making pizzas guided by Steve. He is very knowledgeable and so passionate about what he does- it’s a delight to chat to him whilst making great pizzas and learning about different foods! Kids loved it!

Bought a session with Chef Steve as a birthday gift for my husband. He loved the session and was so inspired by Chef Steve he now wants to book a second session to learn more!

Chef Steve works with you to plan which dishes you want to learn how to prepare so that on the day of the experience you end up with a huge feast of ‘favourites’ to enjoy! The whole process of booking; sourcing ingredients; planning dishes is fully supported by Steve so no matter how new you are to the area of cuisine being taught you feel confident that you are going to have a fantastic experience.

My eldest son (9 3/4) also enjoyed joining in and learning how to mix/blend spices and Chef Steve was incredibly patient and kind in answering all of his questions (as well as my husband’s!).

I called Steve about a party I was having at my home for 38 people. He took all my details carefully and proposed a plan and menu based on my specific requirementsa and assisted with food ideas.
